Who is the author of "Skull Base surgery : Strategies" ?

Walter Jean

Dr. Walter Jean is a board-certified neurosurgeon with expertise in complex intracranial surgery. He is Professor of Neurological Surgery at George Washington University Hospital. With more than 15 years’ experience in both open and endosocpic skull base surgery, his area of clinical interest includes acoustic neuromas, pituitary adenomas, skull base meningioma, intraventricular tumors, and trigeminal neuralgia. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the North American Skull Base Society.

Dr. Jean received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and went on to complete his neurosurgical training at the University of Minnesota. His final training post was at the University of Cincinnati, as fellow in Skull Base Surgery. Dr. Jean earned his credentials in medical education during his 7-year tenure as Program Director of the Georgetown University Neurosurgery Residency Program, and his current medical education interest is focused on the use of social media for neurosurgical training.
