James Boardman : is an honorary consultant neonatologist with the NHS. His clinical interest is neonatal neurology.Professor Boardman’s goal is to develop and evaluate neuroprotective strategies for fetuses and neonates at risk of brain injury and poor neurodevelopmental outcome.
He researches the role of neonatal quantitative MR imaging to investigate causal pathways to brain injury, the factors that confer risk or resilience to injury after perinatal adversity, and the relationship between quantitative MR features and long-term functional outcome. He is scientific director of the Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory at the University of Edinburgh / MRC Centre for Reproductive Health.
Alan Groves : MBChB, B.S., FRCPCH, M.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Texas, USA. He is passionate about applying ultrasound technologies within the NICU to improve care, and he has implemented targeted neonatal echocardiography and point-of-care ultrasound techniques in multiple institutions, with a focus on adherence to agreed protocols and robust quality assurance.
He creates and leads content on NicuPocus, a website dedicated to point-of-care ultrasound training in the neonatal intensive care environment.
Jayashree Ramasethu, MD FAAP, is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and the Associate Program Director of the Neonatal Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
