Who are the authors of "Endovascular Management of Ischemic Stroke" ?

Dr. Vitor Mendes Pereira is a neurosurgeon specialized in minimally invasive procedures of the intracranial and spinal circulation and percutaneous spinal interventions for pain management. He studied Medicine in Sao Luis, Maranhao, Brazil. He then did neurosurgery training at the State University of Sao Paulo before moving to Paris, France to specialize in Interventional Neuroradiology. He worked in the two very prestigious centers: CHU Bicetre (with Prof. Pierre Lasjaunias) and the Rothschild Foundation (with Prof. Jacques Moret).

Before joining the Toronto Neurovascular Group, Dr. Pereira worked as the Head of Interventional Neuroradiology division and Privat-Docent at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland from 2008 to 2014. Currently, He is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the University of Toronto and Staff Physician at the Toronto Western Hospital and Hospital for the Sick Children.
