Who are the authors of "Textbook of Three-Dimensional Echocardiography 2nd Edition" ?

Prof. Badano currently serves as director of the echocardiography laboratory and professor of cardiovascular imaging at the University of  Padua School of Medicine, Padua, Italy.  Prof. Badano’s clinical interests include native and prosthetic valvular heart disease, right ventricular and atrial function, with research interests in three-dimensional and deformation imaging echocardiography and cardiac mechanics. Prof Badano is member of the Italian Society of Cardiology, Italian Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and serves as fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology.  Prof Badano is a regular lecturer at ESC, ACC, ASE and EuroEcho scientific meetings.


Roberto M. Lang is currently the Director of the Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging Laboratories at the University of Chicago and Associate Director of the Cardiology Fellowship training program.  He is a Professor of Medicine and Radiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He has published more than 570 manuscripts on cardiac imaging and physiology during his career as well as 10 books and 110 book chapters.  Dr Lang has been a pioneer in the development of three dimensional transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, a non-invasive technique that is currently used world-wide to diagnose heart disease.


Denisa Muraru is a cardiologist, currently working as a researcher at the University of Padua (Italy). She graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine in Bucharest (Romania). In 2011, she moved to the University of Padua in order to perform clinical research in the field of 3D echocardiography and received the PhD degree in 2013. Her main research interests are: ventricular function and mechanics; valvular heart disease; clinical implementation of 3D echocardiography (software validation, reference values, outcome).
