He is EACTA Representative Council for Spain and an active Board member of the Educational Committee (from CPB Subcommittee) at the European Association of cardiothoracic anesthesia (EACTA). He has published around 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and review editor at Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.

Alberto Hernandez is currently working as a cardiac anesthetist at Hospital Universitario de Bellvitge, Barcelona, Spain.  He has published 2 books with Panamericana on anesthesia and critical care. He is also an active member of the Educational Committee (from ICU subcommittee) of the EACTA.
